About Moli
What is Moli?
Moli is a web-based platform for monitoring, managing, and sharing wind measurement data. It supports teams working with met masts, wind lidars, and similar systems.
What does "Moli" mean?
Moli stands for “monitoring lidar”, because that was what the software did, when we launched it.
We’ve come a long way since – Moli can now handle data from lidar, sodar, and met masts, as well as link to power supplies and other software.
What problems does Moli address?
Moli reduces the manual effort involved in routine monitoring, helps issues become visible earlier, and supports consistent documentation and communication across measurement campaigns.
Is Moli a data analysis tool?
No. Moli focuses on monitoring, oversight, and data management.
It complements analysis tools rather than replacing them.
Is Moli suitable for single-site projects?
Yes. Moli can be used for individual campaigns and also scales to larger fleets managed by multiple users.
Data, access, and integrations

- AQ Systems AQ 510
Using a different sodar? Please get in touch and we’ll add it to Moli.
What met masts does Moli support?
Moli supports all met masts data loggers that output a text file and some binary formats, including:
- Ammonit data loggers
- Campbell Scientific data loggers
- Kintech Engineering loggers
- NRG Symphonie loggers
Got a different logger? Get in touch and we’ll see about adding support for it to Moli.
Can data be shared with external partners or clients?
Yes. Moli is designed to support collaboration within and across organisations, with controlled access for different users and stakeholders.
Can I export my data from Moli?
Export from Moli to a range of data formats is planned and under active development.
Please contact us if this is important for your workflow – we’d love to know what format you need.
Are my data safe?
Yes!
Our data protection policy describes the policies and procedures we’ve implemented at enerlace to keep your data safe. It includes information like:
- What data we collect, and why
- Where we store your data
- How we protect your data
- Our data access policies
Where are my data kept?
Your data are stored on servers operated by us and located in Germany. The server host is accredited to ISO 27001.
We can also deploy Moli to your own cloud servers, so that you never need to send your data outside your own IT infrastructure. Get in touch to find out more!
Can we set up an NDA?
Yes.
We take your data security very seriously, but we’d be happy to add an NDA for extra peace of mind.
We can usually get an NDA set up in a few days.
Depending on your needs, it might be easier to use some non-sensitive data initially to test Moli, and work on the NDA in parallel. That way, we can get you started while the NDA is in progress.
Working with Enerlace
Who is behind Enerlace?
Enerlace was founded by Ines Würth and Andy Clifton, who together bring more than 35 years of experience in wind energy, wind measurement, and wind lidar.
Enerlace is an entirely independent company, with the founder team holding a majority of the shares.
Do you provide advice beyond the software?
Yes.
Our main business is developing and supporting Moli, but we regularly support teams as technical advisors,
including discussions about workflows, monitoring approaches, and data handling, even when Moli is not yet in use.
How do you handle feature requests?
We actively collect feedback from users and discuss requests openly.
Where a need is shared across customers, it is considered for inclusion in the development roadmap.
How often is Moli updated?
Moli is developed continuously, with updates released regularly.
We release patches and new features once they are ready, so sometimes we’ll do a couple of releases a month, and other times it might be longer.
We prioritise stability and clarity over frequent disruptive changes.
